This weekend was fun. We learned a lot, laughed a lot and bought a lot (hehe). I think the thing I enjoyed the most was spending time with my wife. Our little date might seem nerdy to some but I loved it.
One thing I noticed most was how devoted Buffy is to teaching our children. The sessions we picked out were helping bring ideas and encouragement to her ministry. I have to admit at times I really thought it was kind of boring (I may counted some ceiling tiles and light fixtures). Then I was brought back down to earth. As I saw Buffy studying and taking notes I felt so proud. She doesn't do things half way and especially with our children's education. I saw a part of my wife that I don't get to see during the school week. It wasn't just my wife and the mother of my children. It was the very person that challenges, motivates, encourages and teaches our children. My kids education could not be in any better hands.
As we left today it was pretty silent on the way home. Mostly because it was tiring to run around a convention hall and sit in sessions. I don't know what was going through Buffy's head. I can tell you on my end I was welling up with pride, because I was riding in the car with the best educator alive. I love my wife and appreciate all she does.
