Memphis Homeschool Travel

Today we woke up early and headed out to the Memphis Home-School Convention. I really didn't know what to expect. We went to one last year in Evansville, IN but this one was much larger. Last night we picked out some of the classes we wanted to attend so it would help us adjust time for shopping. We arrived and checked in to the conference. There were vendors everywhere and lots to look at. It was nice to be able to place your hands on curriculum and look through it. At first it was all so overwhelming and took me a while to adjust and let the ADD settle down.

The session was good and I did learn some stuff. I know it was more centered around what Buffy needed to know but I enjoyed hearing it as well. The speaker was very knowledgeable and had great insights for those in the room.

Buffy and I went to check in at the Hotel and then headed for dinner. We had a meal at Westy's which was only a couple of blocks away. The restaurant was packed but we had our meal pretty quick.

Then we went to see Tim Hawkins in concert. You never know going into something like this if you will have already heard all the act. Tim surprised me with almost a whole new set and we laughed until we cried.

Tomorrow we will be getting curriculum and heading to more sessions.
