Valley of Shaveh

17 After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).

At this meeting Abram comes in contact with Melchizedek. This gentleman is not only a king but a priest of the Most High. Abram presents an offering to Melchizedek in an act of service to the Lord. It seems as though there is a worship service happening in this spot. The Lord shows up and reminds Abram that he will be a father of many and that he is protected.

After a long day Abram falls asleep only to be visited by God in a dream. What a great day with the Lord I would say.
