Remaining faithful in difficult times.

Our God is a truthful God. He never said it was going to be easy in this life. He shows us that difficult times WILL follow us around. I don't like those times any more that the next person. Sunday morning during the church service my mind wondered further down from the passage used in the message. The pastors message title was "The Last Days" (2 Timothy 3:1-9). While reading that it just didn't seem to be finished for me. So I read further. Here is what God showed me:

2 Timothy 3:1
1 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.

2 Timothy 3:14
14 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.

2 Timothy 4:5
5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

2 Timothy 4:18
18 Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.

In God's word we see that there will be difficult times but we must remain faithful. We can't be afraid that we might suffer for the Lord. There is a huge ministry out there that God has given us all. Ultimately we see that the Lord WILL deliver us and usher us into his presence. There and only there will we find true rest from the struggles and difficulties of this world.
