My lawn is trying to cut me like butter.
Our new home needs some landscape work for sure. Today I spent time out mowing, weeding and trimming bushes. I noticed that my yard wants to hurt me I think. We have crazy holly bushes that seem to grow like vines on the ground as well as on the bush itself. Then there are rose bushes that are out of hand and are trying to rip off my flesh as I mow. Then there is the bush from some Asian swamp. One of those bushes that you couldn't walk through without the aid of a machete. Today I used a hedge trimmer to take it down. All seems good until you attempt to pick up the large grass like razors. With the slightest shift in your hands they slice open every part of your body. The kids were playing with them until each one received the mark of the bush. That is OK though because the bush lost the battle. As it dries up I will mulch and it will return to the ground from which it came. I feel the need to sing the Lion Kings "Circle of Life" for some reason.
