Micah and Hannah

This month is a busy one in the Hughes house. Christmas parties, plays, church events and Upward Cheer have all hit full stride. If you don't believe me just check Buffy's post : (Click here)

Micah is in two plays in December which Buffy and I realize was a mistake. Way to much for a 10 year old plus school. Anyway he is doing a great job juggling it all and still keep his grades good. His renaissance play is a big part for him and he has memorized Shakespeare style language. I am really proud of him in getting it all down. Also he is in the "The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe" production at the Theater Workshop of Owensboro. This time they are having the play in a bigger facility which is good because Annie Jr was a bit cramped.

Hannah started Upward Cheer and I went to my first practice with her yesterday. They handed out these "Poms" (Not to be confused with Pom Poms because that is an old term). They needed to be "fluffed" to make them look poofy. So at first I have no clue what to do. I sort of peak around at these mothers working on their daughters like it was second nature. So I TRY to mimic what they are doing. After 30 minutes I had one side semi "fluffed" and the mothers had finished 20 minutes before me. I was way out of my element there. Of course when I get home Buffy has them fixed in 15 minutes. Well with that part aside it was cute to see my little cheerleader with her hands on her hips.

This month is full of things to do but fear not because Jesus is the focal part of my December.
