December has been a wild month with plays, productions and choir presentations. All of our children have really enjoyed this month. Christmas was a blast as usual. We finally had a chance before Christmas to travel around and look at lights. Chloe was constantly asking us to go to the Legion Park and see the lights. So we started off our adventure there. Then we traveled to Panther Creek for the drive through lights.
Christmas eve we did our Santa visit at the mall and then we headed out to watch a movie. Our Christmas eve service went well at church that night. Finally we headed home for some fondue and a movie. Buffy put the Norad Santa tracker on the computer so the kids were constantly watching the screen worried that they were going to be awake when Santa hit Owensboro.
Christmas morning was full of presents and excitement as well. Buffy had a special breakfast planned out but that was futile because they were way too distracted. So next year we are going to do doughnuts or something simple.
We had a "Whirl Wind Tour" (Buffy's word) of Murray with stops at all the grandparents. What was so funny is Buffy asked what where their favorite 3 presents. Each one of them named one from every grandparent and one from Santa. So grandparents good job!
Today is the official take down the decor and placing the new gifts in there place. So another Christmas has come and gone.
