My little Chloe.

Well if you don't know my smallest girl you won't appreciate this as much. Chloe is a energetic, beautiful, kind, loving, funny and crazy little lady. She is also as many girls are very Drama filled and head strong. Last night during our normal bedtime rituals we had a great picture of her attitude.

First let me explain to you our normal bedtime ritual:

1.) Have all children use bathroom.
2.) Make sure Chloe has her bedtime milk and blanky.
3.) Tuck all children in and kiss them good night.
4.) Explain to them that they need to stay in the bed unless they are sick, bleeding, house on fire or needing emergency help.
5.) Explain to them to be quiet and go to sleep.
6.) After 5 minutes go back in the bedroom and tell them to go to sleep.
7.) After about 10 more minutes threaten earlier bedtimes if they don't go to sleep.
8.) Finally hear silence... (Sometimes Chloe needs to be separated into our bed to chill out while the others go to sleep).

Well in between step 1 and 2 Chloe was the last one in the bathroom. She was reaching to turn the light off and I pulled her down off the cabinet after she finished and put her in the hallway. She fell in the floor and cried. I was like what did I do. I asked her and she said she wanted to do it all by herself. I wondered to myself what that meant. So I just said OK then do it. She stood up walked in the bathroom and walked right to the bed. What I had apparently did was disrupt her attempt to walk out of the door facing by herself. She was happy and I couldn't help but laugh. Oh me ...independence is funny stuff at 3.
