Seriously Again?

Genesis 20:1-2,11-12

1 Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar, 2 and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, “She is my sister.” Then Abimelek king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.

Seriously...I mean Seriously Abraham and Sarah? Here we are again doing the "She's my sister" lie. Except look at the cover for it:

11 Abraham replied, “I said to myself, ‘There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’ 12 Besides, she really is my sister, the daughter of my father though not of my mother; and she became my wife.

Abraham brought sickness upon the king and his family because of this lie. Afterward though God works through the situation to show his awesome power. I believe there has been a time in all of our lives where we have messed up and brought harm to someone else because of it. But if we just turn to God he can shine through the darkest hour.
