Today we spent some time hanging pictures in our house. It has been one of those things we have needed to do since we finished the house but just haven't. After completing the task I know why now. First, the decision to hang what picture where has to be made. After deciding that you must then pick out which wall and the orientation of the picture. This happens for each picture for each room on each wall.
Then ....There is always that one picture. The one you can't get right. Ours just happened to be in the hallway. I measured and hammered the nails into the wall. After a few adjustments to one nail (didn't measure one right) we hang the picture. It was crooked and horrible looking. After some discussions about the measuring techniques (arguments) we brought out the level. The nails were straight. Guess what? The hangers on the back of the picture were not even with each other so it through the whole thing off.
Gotta love things like that.
