The Great Trees at Hebron

Genesis 13:12
Abram lived in the land of Canaan, while Lot lived among the cities of the plain and pitched his tents near Sodom.

Genesis 13:18
So Abram went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he pitched his tents. There he built an altar to the LORD.

After Lot decided to take the better looking of the two lands the both leave. Abram settles again in the land of Canaan. This time we have a better idea of where this is. Abram found a area in Hebron full of great trees. While Lot is hanging out close to party town (Sodom) Abram is talking with God. God once again confirms his covenant with Abram. He is going to give him the land and many descendants. God tells Abram to walk the land that will someday be his.

Would we choose the poor land and walk with God? Would we choose the fertile land and city life and be exposed to sinful life?
