Tonight at church we discussed how we should not store up treasures here on earth. In today's world that is something hard to grasp. People build houses they don't need, buy cars they can afford and spend money that could help others.
I am not saying that you have to sell your house and car and move in a tent. What I am saying is, when you drive an Gas guzzling Escalade into your 5 car garage and step into your home that has 5 bedrooms 5 baths money might be better spent. There are families in your city, county and state that need help. In the US there are people wondering where their next meal is going to come from. All over the world there are those that are less fortunate and a cup of clean drinking water is as good as gold.
I think we (which includes me) should all sit back and think. Do we really need this? Is there a better way to invest my time, money and efforts? How will this purchase effect the kingdom to which I am headed?
