Identity 2009

This past weekend we headed out with a group of adults and youth to Gatlinburg, TN. We hopped on our new ride and drove off into the night to our cabin on the mountain. This year's theme was "Identity". The total focus was where we get our identity. Is it from the world? Or is it from Christ?

I was blessed to have a great group of adults to help lead studies, sessions and chaperon for the event. Everyone did an excellent job and I believe it went over great! Also our praise and worship band was awesome! I enjoyed singing praises to the Lord with them. They will definitely be back at Walnut.

I believe the Lord spoke to us all at this event. Now what comes from it will be in his hands. Will today's youth really focus on looking more like Christ? Will they step up to the place and build a relationship with Christ that is lasting? I pray so...

Well I will try to blog more later. I just wanted you all to know I am still alive. LOL!

Looks like a nice cabin. I didn't get a chance to ask much about the cabin. How many bedrooms did it have.
Glad to see Hannah is better, but sorry about Abbi. I came back with a sore throat but decided to give it a few days to see what happens. I think it is just sinus problems. I went to the
GI doc today and had an endoscopy. I have post-cholecystecomy syndrome. It seems that sometimes when you have your gum ladder out, you can still have the same problems afterwards. SO
WHY HAVE IT DONE, I SAY?

Oh that isn't the cabin that is just the chapel. The cabin slept 38 and the other slept 10. The chapel above held 50.
