The Armor.

"Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil."

Eph. 6:11

A few weeks back we began a study on the full body armor of God. I decided to have some fun with the study. Instead of sitting in the youth chapel and sermonizing them we did something different. We would spend about 15-20mins going over the passage for that day. Then I would have them break off into two groups. They would be provided supplies to build that part of the armor. The supplies included usually were:

Aluminum Foil
Foam Board
Card Board
Duct Tape
Pool Noodle
Scissors
String

This took about 3 and a 1/2 study sessions. The last night I had them model off their gear. They got points for originality and scripture involvement within the construction. Both teams did very well and enjoyed the study. At the end I had them fight it out on stools. It was hilarious to watch.



Little did I know they would like it so much. I think they might remember it better now.
