Bible School, Sandboxes and Gentian Violet

The kids went to VBS at Northside Baptist Church today. The theme was "Son Treasure Island". We are doing the same one at Poplar Spring and my parent's church will be using it. With a ton of different VBS materials it is odd that we all picked the same one. The kids had a good time. During the ending presentation Abbi and Hannah both sang well. Micah was so proud that he had a speaking part. He did a wonderful job as well.

Me and Dad built a large sandbox today. It is 6'x6' and it is 12" tall. This will hold enough sand that my children could bury each other in it. It took some work and skill on Dad's part. I just offered my hammering, stacking and using the cordless drill. No I just have to go to a play to buy a beach worth of sand. I might add a lake and we would have a beach.

Me and Buffy just swabbed Chloe's mouth with gentian violet. This stuff is the most potent dye I have ever seen. Now every time she spits up we have to cover her with cloth so that she doesn't stain the carpet and furniture. This stuff is crazy!

Oh yeah and we just finished taking the famous "baby in the clouds" picture. All of the children had theirs taken about this time so we are finished. I went and bought this pillow stuffing and spread it all about to make a cloud and now Buffy is commanding me to clean it up. I am off to move the cloud. Nite all!
