Thundernados

We had some bad storms today and tonight in the little county of Calloway. This afternoon was just more heavy rains and a little wind. But tonight was the bad stuff.

My mom calls me on the cell and informs me that some bad storms are headed to Murray. I was in the process of getting something to eat. So we swing in Burger King and get some food for the road. Then I receive yet another call from dad. I decided with the current information and winds that we would bunker down. In my quick and timely glance I see that there is a car wash near. Understanding the storm direction and using my meteorological skills (vast as they may be) we head in the wash. We all had a meal and watched the show. First it was just real windy and raining hard. Then I noticed sheets of hail (pea sized) hitting the ground. The storm would soon pass.

Finally after driving home and spending some time over at my parents we come home. All is well nothing is blown away. So the Hughes house goes on another day.
