And I smiled.

Buffy's grandmother passed away this afternoon. She was a great Christian woman and influence on our lives. Over the last few years Ola's health and mind withered, but her memory will never fade. We were sitting here tonight thinking about great times. Although I knew her far less time than the family she still influenced my life. Her Christian witness was one that we can only hope to live up to.

I will never forget those long pauses as Ola would call our house. The phone would ring and there would be this long pause then you would here "......Jamie??". It made you smile. In fact she made me smile a lot. She always wanted to feed you when you came over. There was a time where she had been asking and asking if I wanted something to eat. I caved in and said that I would take a chocolate ice cream bar that she was offering me. She then puts two on the table and says "here take two..." Once again I smiled.

I know that Buffy and the family will miss Ola. They will never stop thinking about those times she made them smile. But today Ola met Jesus and both smiled.

I think she is strutting around right now wearing her beads, dangly earrings and high heels! I know she was surprised and happy to see Uncle Max since she did not know he died. She died one month to the day of Uncle Max.
