Poland Mission Trip (Day 5)

This morning was like the other. We got up, had coffee and began work. We finished the "firing strips" and began work on sheet rock. I mixed some sort of plaster for the walls. This was mostly my job. The hardest thing was to stay consistent with the mix. Sometimes it would be too stiff and the other times too runny.

They also began pouring the floor this day. The cement mixer was as old as the saw of death. It made the most horrible sound anyone would hear. Everything here is much older and the construction is different for sure.

I saw my first gypsy this day. They just drive up and set up camp. They look really poor and filthy. There is 4 adults and 4 children.

We ate at "John's" house this night. All of us were invited over for a meal. He farms rabbits...So I am figuring that would be part of the meal. When we came up he was outside grilling some sort of polish sausage.

The meal was good and the conversation was awesome. John served in the Polish army. I learned a lot about him and his family. The house was packed.

This is the end of day 5.
