Today I came to the realization that we are missing the boat. I began to ponder a quote and a verse. Then I heard a song that totally spoke a confirmation of all these. Let me show you what God showed me.
- The quote:
An old mystic says somewhere, "God is an unutterable sigh in the innermost depths of the soul." With still greater justice, we may reverse the proposition, and say the soul is a never ending sigh after God.
- Theodor Christlieb
- The verse:
For you are my hiding place;
you protect me from trouble.
You surround me with songs of victory.
Ps 32:7 (NLT)
- Part of the song Hiding place (Daniel Herbert):
But when thy spirit Shines within
Makes me feel the plague of sin
And how I long to see thy face
Tis then I want a hiding place
Lord Jesus shine and then I can
feel the sweetness in salvations plan
And as a sinner plead for grace
Christ's the sinners hiding place
Just as a child wanders from its parents occasionally we wander from Christ. I have watch at close range as my child realizes that he/she has wandered off. The then have this terrible look like I am lost. I then call their name. They immediately return fast. How much more does Christ do this for us. Remember his arms. He has held them out for you. Run and return to that still small voice calling your name.
