I began to think today. With all the churches out there and flavor and styles of worship you think that the church would be stronger than ever. Sometimes this is far from the truth. All these choices eventually turn into differences. Then the differences turn in to quarreling and fights. We as the chruch need to step up to the plate. Christ should be our focus not doctrine.
Paul explained "Do not get involved in foolish discussions about spiritual pedigrees or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Jewish laws. These kinds of things are useless and a waste of time. If anyone is causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with that person."
Titus 3:9-10
"Again I say, don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights."
II Timothy 2:23
These denomenational differences sometimes cause fights and quarrels. This only divides Christ's Church. We must begin to work together to battle our enemy not each other. Paul wrote these things to the early church but it seems as though God knew we would need it now more than ever. Paul spoke boldly. He held no punches back. He went straight for the issue and didn't candy coat it. I really don't think the church would enjoy having him around because he would look straight at you and tell you the truth. He wanted to impress his father not man.
