Shower Bath

You will often notice I will post something that has no value whatsoever to life. This post is just that type. In fact you may actually become more stupid for reading it. Be aware...

I was taking a bath for some reason the other day which I rarely do. I began to contemplate why we do such especially in colder months. As you sit there the part of your body in the nice warm (in Buffy's case scalding hot) water is great. But there is the part that is above the water that becomes cold. Jealously soon enters the body because you are only half warm. So then it sends chills down your body to ask you to submerge yourself completely. Which many will do but the minute you return to your normal position you have made it worse. The cooler air hits the skin and begins to make you miserable. The only way then to fix the problem is to submerge again. So what happens is that you look like a frog with it's head sticking out of the water. Is that really fun?? No I say!! No it is not.

Showers are great but if you are wanting to relax you can't really because you are standing there exerting more energy than resting. So what is the answer really??

Shower Baths!! That is the answer to all the bathing problems. Simply fill the tub up partially with water before entry. Then kick on the shower. You have the water warming the body the water showering down on you that is hot. No cold air to come in because the shower curtain creates a vacuum seal. As a matter of a fact soon it will be similar to a sauna. The best times for these are when you have a cold. You are all stopped up and the steam comes from everywhere. Clearing those sinuses and everything.

Spa's everywhere will soon be using my ideas. I am sure of it...

Today we practice Titus 3:1-2

Ok..ok. I have been quiet long enough. Today we saw history made and a new president enter office. Wither or not you voted for him or not is not the issue. I have got the point where I am tired of seeing : "Anti-Christ", "Leftist", "Muslim" and other emails and comments. I don't know where the Christians are right now in all of this.

First, God is in control and nothing surprises him. God knew who would be our President and who will be the ones to follow him. God is all powerful and has complete power over all things. Instead Christians are going around with this defeated and disgusted look on thier face. Why I ask? Is it lack of faith in God's power? Appears so to me.

Second, who really knows where anyone stands in Christ? The only two people that know for sure you are in Christ are you and God. I can see fruits yes...but the rich young ruler exhibited fruits and still wasn't complete. So we need to stop and hope a persons word is true.

Third, Have you seen a politican yet to go after Rowe v Wade? Have you seen a president that was on the heals of the supreme court to overturn this awful decision? Have you seen a president that was totally sold out to Christ and it was so evident in his life? I could go on and on but you should get the point.

Finally, In Titus 3:1-2 it states "Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. 2 They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone" It appears many Christians are slandering the name of Obama and fighting. If I read this correctly then I see that we are to submit, be obedient to the law and do what is good. Sure you can disagree with things. Haven't we all disagreed with fellow beleivers before. But that doesn't give us the right for borderline hatred.

I believe I have said enough. I am calling on all Christians to live the life Christ has called us to live. Even if that means we swallow our pride and serve those who some of us don't want to. After all unconditional service is what we are called to.

Pyro Buffy

Well last weekend we went to a staff party. Me and Buffy actually went out on our own for the first time since we moved. We had a youth come and stay with the kids while we went (Thanks Corie!). The meal at "Z's" was great and it was a great time to spend with the staff away from the office environment. We had a gift exchange at the end as a kind of late Christmas type party. We all opened up the gifts and all that jazz. Here is where it gets funny. Buffy opened her gift bag and kind of laid the tissue paper aside. She didn't notice she laid it right on top of the candle. Well needless to say it caught afire. Buffy not noticing still looks into the bag while others are trying to draw our attention to the blaze set beside her. Once noticed Buffy says "Oh no!" and I began to blow it out. A bit of smoke rose from the table but all is well. Luckily the fire alarm didn't detect it because Buffy was right below the sprinkler. Well you know what I did don't you??? That's right Camera time from the Phone:

On the Wii Injury list

If you know anything about sports players are often injured. During the game you will see some limp off the field arm and arm with a trainer or Dr. If it is bad enough the cart comes out and takes them to the locker room or hospital.

Then the player will show up on ESPN's injury list. It will give you the likely hood of the player returning. Fantasy football people like to know those things so they can substitute a player in their line up. Here is what it would look like:

"Arizona Cardinals: Status: Date:
Ben Patrick Questionable Jan 12

Comment: Patrick's (knee) teammate Stephen Spach (knee) will undergo an MRI on Monday or Tuesday, the Arizona Republic reports.
"

So with that boring information stated I will now explain the post title. Since Christmas we have been pretty active on the Wii. I have achieved pro status on Golf and Bowling and working on that in Tennis and Boxing. It has been a blast. We have been looking for the Wii Fit but they are hard to come by right now. So we found another game called "Outdoor Challenge". The game is a blast and really gives you a work out. It seems as though I have injured myself on this game. It is pretty vigorous in areas and makes you use almost every part of your body. Yesterday I woke up and my right shoulder was in pain. I thought that it might be that I was just sore from the work out. So last night we toned it down and played doubles tennis and bowling. That apparently wasn't a good idea because my shoulder is now in more pain this morning. Now let me say that the pain is not noteworthy it is just that I have exerted my body more that usual (AKA out of shape). So I need to take a Wii break. I have put myself on the Wii Injured player list.

Hughes Family: Status: Date:
Jamie Hughes Questionable Jan 12

Comment: Due to the fact that Jamie has the stamina and strength of a 90 year old his body has notified him it's time to chill out. We can't really say when he will come back but experts say it will be before he is suppose to. So needless to say he will be back on the injured list again.

The sacrifice not unnoticed

It seems here lately I have really been touched by music in special way. I was listening to Brandon Heath's "London". I really mean listening too. I found myself in the place of the singer. The song spoke of a person in London. Who knows why but I would assume it would be the singer leading an event. While he is there he goes site seeing but although the sites are everything he thought it still felt empty. The song goes on to explain that his loved one was still at home (probably the states).

WOW I thought! I have felt that very thought many times. Over the years God has sent me many places. I have been to Europe and strolled the streets of Krakow before a mission in Wisla. I have been to Arizona seen the beauty of the dessert. I have been to the Grand Canyon 3 times and took in the majesty of it all. The list goes on and on. When I have been I took it all in BUT I missed someone. It is the very one that I want witness all these things with the most. I know she doesn't mind but I still miss her terribly. The hole I feel on this trips sometimes seem as big as the Grand Canyon.

The calls home I try to describe things to Buffy that I am taking in. The words can't even compete with her being there with me.

Now I am not trying to be morbid or depressing. I know God has got me on those missions for his purpose and that Buffy supports me 100 percent. I enjoy them and have really be changed by what God has showed me. I have loved every minute of it. Also I do miss my kids very much too. But this post is about the sacrifice my wife makes for her husband.

Buffy misses the mission work, children's faces, sites and all that I have seen. I just know that if She was there taking it in with me it would be great. Some day it will be but the time isn't now. The kids are getting older and we will be able to leave them for longer times with relatives. But for right now when those wheels of the airplane hit home ground I feel more complete. Because I am close to the one I love the most on this earth.

I love you Buffy...
