Over the last few days we have been extremely busy so blogging has been put on hold a bit. I have decided to catch you all up until I get more time to post better details.
1) We went to Micah's play recital and he did awesome! I think he has found his calling in acting. The audience loved his portrayal of the grass hopper in the ant fable.
2) I took the youth on our last official outing as a group. We went to see the Chronicles of Narnia and it was really good.
3) We had a going away fellowship and it was a blessing. The church was so supportive and encouraging.
4) We went to Owensboro and got the keys to the house, utilities switched over in our name and visited the church (and Target for Buffy..lol)
5) The kids had their last day at school in Calloway County School Systems.
6) We have been packing and cleaning up the house. So our house is beginning to look more empty and more like a warehouse.
I will post some more things in detail at another date. It is 7 more days until we move. This time next week we will be headed to Owensboro.

I think the raccoon might be trying to snuff me out.
The ongoing battle with the raccoon has seemed to almost ceased. Or so I THOUGHT! Yesterday I had my car worked on which was a blessing because it was very cheap. In conversation with the mechanic he told me about the faulty wiring. Then he mentioned something had been chewing on some of my wires. The first though was the Raccoon! Although I know it is impossible for him to get up there I think he had paid off a varmint to snuff me out. As soon as they find my break lines I am done for. I am sure he doesn't know about my move or he will be hitching a ride on the U haul to torment me there.

Hannah's Graduation
Yesterday Hannah had her preschool graduation. It was a neat little time for her. I am blessed to have a job where I can take time out to go see things like that. She was so excited and wanted to wear a specific dress for this day. During the little ceremony Hannah was asked what school she was going to and couldn't remember (stage fright). At that moment more reality hit me. My children are headed to a new place. What is awesome is that they are excited about it! We are too! Finally I began to think about another thing that is super scary. It won't be that long until I see my kids graduate high school. So days like yesterday I need to soak up quick.

Having a mind to work
As the day of moving to Owensboro gets near I will post about PSBC and WMBC.
Today I want to share with you a piece of scripture that God showed me this AM. The book of Nehemiah to me is an awesome thing. It is a perfect example of Gods protection, provision and plans. Here God's people are allowed to go back and rebuild the walls in their land. With opposition from every side they put their trust in God and power through. Here is what I love:
"So we built the wall and the whole wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work." (Nehemiah 4:6, NASB)
The people had the mind to work. When we get our minds set on the things of God huge task become small. When we set our mind on the things of God fear fades away. When we set our mind on the things of God big things happen!
I pray we all work on having "a mind to work".

Moving on...
Today after much prayer and searching we have accepted a call to Walnut Memorial Baptist Church in Owensboro, KY. It has been totally amazing to see God's hand in this whole process. We are excited to see what God is going to do. The church is on fire for the Lord!
I would post more today but we are exhausted. It has been a long weekend. More to come...
Nite all!
