Me and Buffy were discussing last night the power of the almighty French fry in the car while you are driving. For example say you have just pulled out of your favorite fast food spot. The meal you purchased is for when you get home. What is the very first thing we do when they hand us the bag? We take one fry out and eat one. This is an automatic response. Then as we drive down the road we continue to slowly stick our arm in the bag uncontrollably and eat the fries and before you know it you arrive home with a burger and a drink. The fries have been consumed and the only thing you might have are those fry-like croutons at the bottom that nobody really eats.
Now let me show you a dilemma I have had before. I have put one fry in my mouth and made a decision that I will only eat one. While I drive down the road I think of how great another fry would be. So I convince myself that I can eat just one more and that is just it. Ohhhhhh... how great that fry was. But soon the taste fades and the desire for more attacks again. So this leads me to two scenarios:
1) I put a fry in my mouth and slowly let it dissolve over the period of a car ride. That way I get the taste and only one more fry is eaten. The problem with that is I have now created some sort of gooey fry paste in my mouth.
2) I allow myself 10 fries. I divide that up for the car trip home. It may turn out to be one a minute or more. Proven to be the best of the two.
This is why I have labeled this post "Crack Fries". In no way do I think they are laced with crack but somehow the mixture of old fry grease and potatoes makes those little demons irresistible. So feel free to use my cooping mechanisms. I strongly discourage those with weak stomaches to use scenario 1.

Beginning of something...
Yesterday I purchased a web domain name. Although it means nothing without a site and server it is the first step in a process of many. I am planning to open a site eventually that will offer some items such as devotionals (unlike anything you have seen), retreat info, speaking opportunities for churches and conferences and also some free stuff. Pray that the Lord blesses this effort. This will be the name of a site eventually.

Crossings 07
The youth went to Crossings at the Creek last week. It was a great trip and we all came back changed and ready to take the world for Christ! During the week we had 3 come to Christ and other major decisions were made. The music and worship was awesome and really lead us to the throne of God.I want to say something specific about someone at Crossings. We had an spirit filled speaker and his name was John Nix he really spoke to the youth in a way that presented The Word and also grabbed their attention. I personally talked to him and his sermons matched his life. What impressed me most was that he was real. That mainly means that he showed you his life. To many people today just simply show you a plastic view of a Godly person. In his case he showed us a real view of a Godly person. I totally recommend him for a speaker. Please click his link and find out for yourself.
With that small a advertisement I will lead you to the MAIN event. As many of you know I have a terrible fear of heights. At Jonathan Creek they have a climbing tower. This massive tower is made for all types of climbing and repelling. I was coaxed into climbing this beast by my wonderful assistant Sandra and the youth. So on Thursday I scaled the tower of terror. I will tell you I climbed fast. I figured the faster you do it the faster you get down. I have pictures for those who would like to share in my terror.

Sorry for the blog break
I have been really busy for the last few days and my blog has suffered for that. We will be leaving this afternoon for Tybee Island. I am really ready for this vacation and look forward to the sun and surf. My parents and the kids headed out this morning and we will all meet this evening outside Atlanta. I have begun to write a devotional for my vacation and it is in ROUGH draft. I am going to use it and tweak it this week. Be looking for this devotional soon.
After returning from my vacation I will head back out for youth camp that next day. So I will have time to breathe and head back out. I hope to blog a little about the vacation in a week. Cya all!

My love...
This week Buffy (my wife) has been experiencing severe back pain. I know that it has to be severe because if she hurts it's bad. She made an appointment with the chiropractor Friday. I was expecting him to find a catch in her back or something of that sort. She calls me that afternoon and explains to me that she has "degenerative disc disease". Those words went down into my gut and beat the life right out of me. All I really heard was disease...disease...disease.
I Google'd it and found out it wasn't the death sentence that I thought it was. Although I do realize that it will be something she will have to deal with for the rest of her life. That is what bothers me. There is absolutely nothing I can do to take that pain away. If I had to travel to the far ends of the world to pick a plant that would cure it I would without a second thought.
I am sure some will write this off as something minor. It is not.... My love is hurting and that hurts me. Buffy I love you and whatever it takes we will get this straight.

BAD-minton
Last night at our open gym night we had our normal games set up. You could choose from cards, ping pong, basketball or badminton. I was playing basketball for the first part of the night with some of our youth. Then Molly (Youth) and Sandra (Her Mom) prepared homemade milkshakes. They were really good and after consuming one of them I decided basketball might not be a good idea. So we ventured to the badminton court. It started off as an innocent game and then turned into a competition. Me and Zach Stewart were on one team and Chris Barnes and Justin Perkins were on the other. The first game we lost (all me). The second one we won. So you know that leads to a third game. This one was serious and it appeared like me and Zach had this one in the bag. All of a sudden we find ourself 20-18 and our serve. Zach serves and the hitting back and forth was intense. We were all over the court covering for one another. Then we both headed the same direction to the birdie. Zach was closer so I pulled back my racket. Then all of a sudden bam!!!! I was struck in the face with a racket. Needless to say we lost that point. After regaining my composer and checking my throbbing face for lacerations we continued on. We won the game!! Wooot hoooot!
This is my second injury while hanging around with Zach. I found out that his buddy Chris has been hit in the face with a golf club (tossed to him to use during a game) and he has been driven into branches on a 4 wheeler.
So beware of the man they call Zach...he comes with a Warning. Not suitable for children or adults. LOL!!! Just joking Zach.
